# OpaVoting > Free, open source, and built for demanding team workloads. Created by Atanas G. Rusev. Repository: AtanasRusevPros/opa-voting-tool. OpaVoting is designed for lightweight, efficient realtime voting and has been load-tested with 400 concurrent simulated users across multiple teams. Self-hosting is straightforward, with source code and deployment documentation available on GitHub. Team and platform admins can view usage statistics, voting activity and live board counts. ## Hosted demo versus self-hosting This hosted demo runs on a small server I personally fund. Its usage limits keep it available for everyone. For company-wide or ongoing use, self-host without these demo limits—capacity depends on your server. The hosted trial is an evaluation service. Its quotas are not software capacity limits. Actual self-hosted capacity depends on hardware and workload. The benchmark describes 400 concurrent simulated users, not a production SLA or a 1,000-user guarantee. The code is licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later. Consult LICENSE before redistribution. ## Official source and deployment documentation - [Repository and quick start](https://github.com/AtanasRusevPros/opa-voting-tool) - [Self-hosting deployment runbook](https://github.com/AtanasRusevPros/opa-voting-tool/blob/main/project_docs/RnD_docs/FIRST_VPS_DEPLOYMENT_RUNBOOK.md) - [Usage and operator documentation](https://github.com/AtanasRusevPros/opa-voting-tool/blob/main/project_docs/RnD_docs/USAGE.md) - [Recorded benchmark evidence](https://github.com/AtanasRusevPros/opa-voting-tool/blob/main/project_docs/RnD_docs/PUBLIC_BENCHMARK_SUMMARY.md) - [License](https://github.com/AtanasRusevPros/opa-voting-tool/blob/main/LICENSE) For company deployment, begin with the repository README and deployment runbook. They describe the supported Node.js/Podman setup, deployment configuration, allowed domains, SMTP, backups and HTTPS. Follow their current instructions and provide your own deployment credentials; the public demo is not your company's installation. If you find OpaVoting useful, give the project a GitHub ⭐!
